Windows 11 Windows Explorer freezing when transfering from SD card

We have a few users at our company unable to consistently transfer files off of an SD card or from a USB SD card adapter. Watching the transfer window, it will go at the normal speed and then just fall off a cliff to 0 MB/s. The only way to recover is to reboot the computer. I've attempted to restart Windows Explorer from the task manager and Windows will not recover. Sometimes on restart, it will hang forcing me to do a force power off.The only common thread I can find is that I am still able to transfer files from SD card on a laptop that has not updated since March.
