Windows 11 Windows file explorer is not opening certain files. How do I fix? When opening .jpg file from explorer now get a message 'no such interface supported'

I have recently had problems opening certain file types in windows explorer and don't know how to fix it. The two examples are:i) When opening .jpg file from explorer now get a message 'no such interface supported'? Although I can see the image in preview it won't allow me to open itii) When trying to open a downloaded .vcf outlook card it now says ' class not registered' ? I don't know whether they are related or separate issues but I have never had this kind of problem before
