Windows 11 Windows hello PIN Keeps getting corrupted by hardware changes

Is there any way to keep my PIN from getting corrupted by hardware changes?I have a Dell laptop running Windows 11 Pro with an external video card. Whenever I disconnect from the video card, the Windows Hello PIN gets corrupted and I get the "something went wrong" message at login, requiring me to login with my Microsoft account, delete the ngc folder, and reset the PIN (which is problematic when I don't have WiFi available).
