Windows 10 Windows ignores my redesignation of the system disk

Some time ago I added an SSD to my Lenovo desktop with the intention of making it my system disk and redesignating the existing HDD as additional storage. I left the HDD where it was installed by the factory and installed the SSD in a vacant slot. I then used disk manager to designate that disk F is now the system disk, and that disk C is no longer the system disk but is "work" file. Subsequently I decided that I would use the HDD as my Macrium backup file. I don't use OneDrive which I have immobilized.
