Windows 11 Windows Media Player - Cast to Device (to my radio) only works if I play a YouTube video

Over many years I've often tried to use Windows Media Player - Cast to Device without success. I recently bought a new PC (Windows 11) and found it still didn't appear to work. I then stumbled upon a solution. Cast to Device will work perfectly all day long, BUT only if I'm playing a YouTube video. I mute the YouTube video's sound so I just get my music. If I pause the video, my music stops, then restarts when I press play on the Video again. If I look at the display on my radio (the receiver) it displays the name of the YouTube video, not the track I'm listening to. So in order to listen
