Windows 11 Windows reinstall on another drive

I have an old Dell laptop which is very slow as it has an HDD. I got a SSD installed in it but the technician didn't install Windows in the SSD. I was hoping to do it myself but wasn't sure if I would retain my original Windows. Could anyone help me with this and also possibly tell me how should I go about it.
