Hi Support,

I've clean-installed (from scratch) Windows 10 onto my laptop 4 months ago without any problem. But Windows Update process doesn't work from the beginning until now. It can detect new updates, but cannot download them: all downloads stuck at 0% and finally says: Couldn't download updates - restarting device may solve this problem. I can see the error code in History: 0x80240034 with all the items.

I've tried almost all the suggested solutions without any success:

- Windows Update Troubleshooter: cannot identify the issue (says no issue for every check-item)

- update services: set start=auto, stop and restart all of them: wuauserv, bits, cryptsvc, trustedinstaller, msiserver, AppIDSvc

- SoftwareDistribution folder: rename / delete

- DISM.exe: Scanhealth, Checkhealth, Restorehealth: No component store corruption detected.

- sfc /scannow: Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

So all checking processes say: everything seems fine - but Windows Update still cannot install the updates.

I've no clue what can I do more, help me please!

computer: ASUS X551M

Windows 10 version 1809 (build 17763.195)

Thanks in advance for your help,

Attila
