Windows 11 Windows Update "failed update" retry

Every morning after I start my computer, one of the first things I do is go to Windows Update and check for updates. As of late, more often than not, Windows update will give me a "failed update" Retry later, usually pertaining to Security Updates. This action will create a "Warning" in the Reliability Monitor. Now if I go to Windows Security, Virus and Threat Protection, Virus and Threat Protection Updates it appears that the "failed" update in WU , actually installed.Has anyone else experienced this? Or is this just a case of one hand not knowing what the other hand is doing?
