Windows 10 windows will not update, "*Some settings are managed by your organization"

i'd like to download something from the microsoft store but it will not let me due to updates. updates wont take place, the troubleshooter doesn't do anything; the prompt "*Some settings are managed by your organization" is shown when i'd like to update windows. this has to be the problem. it has gone on for quite the long time.there are not any school or work accounts on this pc, at least not that are visible.
