Symptoms: I will be browsing the internet, when after some time, all WiFi networks disappear and I'm unable to reconnect to anything. I turn on and off airplane mood and nothing comes back. I restart my computer and that usually fixes it. However, I'm always in the middle of something when my laptop is cut off from all WiFi, so restarting regularly is NOT a feasible solution. Plus it doesn't stop my laptop from doing it again.
I am able to connect via an Ethernet cable, but this is also not a solution as I can't be out and about and expect there to be Ethernet cables.
Troubleshooter: I've run it when I'm having said connectivity issues, and it always asks me to connect an Ethernet cable and check if the solution is fixed. I can connect via the cable, but usually I just restart my laptop at this point because there is no cable.
After connecting via Ethernet, the troubleshooter comes back: "The Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi Adapter adapter is experiencing driver- or hardware related problems." It then cannot fix said problems, only that they are detected.
Question: Can I just update or replace my wireless adapter? Would that solve this issue?
If so, where can I go to or how do I find the right adapter? I've tried searching for that adapter but My laptop is an HP 15 Notebook, Intel Core i3-4030U CPU 1.90Ghz processor, Windows 10 version 1709 OS 16299.125.
Or, is there something entirely different that I should do? Thanks in advance.
