So here's my problem. I have an HP Envy laptop with windows 10 which I used to be able to (wirelessly) cast video's, desktop etc. to my Techwood smart TV as a second display. I also have an Asus which will still connect so the TV appears not to be at fault. The computer detects the TV as an available connection and vice versa. When I try to connect by selecting the TV from the list of available wireless displays, the TV screen indicates connecting, then connected, but the computer displays "Unable to connect" after about 15 seconds. I have uninstalled Norton and Nord VPN and diabled windows defender. I have checked all drivers up to date for intel programs. I have removed and searched for and re-detected the TV numerous times. As I have alredy said, my computer recognises the TV as an available resource and the TV recognises the computer. Connection via HDMI works fine but is impractical for my application. I contacted the Microsoft help desk and explained the problem which seems to have appeared after a routine 'windows update'. They took control of my computer for well over an hour and basically went through all that I had already done but made no difference to the problem, apologised and signed off (I notice they didn't send me a feedback form to fill in!!). From various posts I have seen under various headings, I am not alone with this anomaly but I have yet to see a constructive reply. I do believe this is a windows 10 'glitch' which I was gifted during a routine update but without reports from other users, Microsoft will not accept my hypothesis. If you have the same problem please let me know so I can at least quote some numbers. Better still, if you have solved this puzzle, please bless me with the solution. Regards and stay healthy. Graham
