Windows 10 Wireless Projection- Secondary Screen Freezes

I am wirelessly projecting to a smart TV and while connected, the wireless display freezes. I have to disconnect and reconnect to use it. I am using a Microsoft Surface laptop and have had issues connecting to a Samsung smart TV and a TCL TV with Roku. I am extending my display.
