Windows 11 With facial recognition as the default sign in method - if you aint quick it reverts to pin and is irratatingly tedious to try again

With facial recognition as the default sign in method - if you are not in position within a few seconds it reverts back to the pin login screen and then you have to click the sign in options prompt to display, the two icons (in my case) where the sign in options prompt was, which is really pointlessly tedious why not just have the icons there in the first place and lose the prompt or just have it as a title header- is there away to achieve this?
