Windows 11 Word duplicates alt-code character when using Japanese keyboard layout

Similar to many unresolved questions, When I try to type an ANSII code using alt + numpad, first the character appears after releasing alt—as expected—but then when typing another key, the character appears again instead of what I typed:Intended:fuel availability—bothResult:fuel availability——othWhen switching keyboard layouts to US - English (United Kingdom), this problem disappears. The alt-code character appears only once, with no altering of subsequent characters.I think the reason it could not be reproduced in other questions might be because the bug only occurs when using certain keyboar
