Hi!

I have a problem with the new update of Xbox Game bar. Since the app first updated to the last version, it keeps auto-updating repeatedly to the same version, the most annoying part being that after each update the overlay gets launched and my activity gets disturbed because my apps are covered and non-focusable until I exit the overlay of the Game bar.

This is a big problem since the update is finished in few seconds and it takes only another few seconds for the Microsoft Store to understand that there still is another update pending for the same app and re-update it. So the behavior of interrupting my activity until I close the overlay is repeated every a couple of seconds, making my machine unusable.

I suspect there is a problem with Microsoft Store app update service, since I've had problems, similar to this as well, because I looked up on the internet and many people seem to have the same type of problems.

I am looking forward for a solution to this problem, I will run the Windows Update Troubleshooter for any extra information I could get.

Thanks and have a nice day,

Paul Capatina-Voila.

Edit: The Windows **Store App Troubleshooter said the problem found was Hanging or Crashing App, which seems to be resolved now. No more automatic Xbox Game bar overlay display shown prior to restart.

Edit 2: After restart the problem reappeared.

Edit 3: After running wsreset.exe and restarting my computer the problem still persists. Only solution is to use Task Manager to end the Microsoft Store task by Right-Click->End Task.

Note: Microsoft Store is configured for Automatic Updates ON, OFF has the same behavior but I prefer it to be on and working as intended.
